Below are pictures of our stone setter raising gravestones. Some of these gravestones have not seen the light of day for fifty years. Click on thumbnail to view larger image Heavy machinery, including a small crane had to be brought into the cemetery. We had to hire expert stone setters who took expert care in getting the stone ready to be raised. It was exciting to see the first gravestone put back on its base and raised. Another, long ago vandalized gravestone getting ready to be raised. This stone was a different shape and required a little different procedure. After many years, this gravestone can now be read again. Another stone, this one with the surname Brower, returns to its rightful place after lying face down in the dirt for decades. Another stone perfectly restored thanks to your donations. The cemetery as we left it this past fall , what an improvement! A GREAT BEGINNING BUT MUCH MORE TO DO!
